Sir Jack Stewart-Clark, owner of Dundas Castle, said: “My wife and I love having couples to share our home for their big day, and we are thrilled this winter offering will be at a time of the year when the romance of the castle really shines through. There’s nothing better than a celebratory drink by a roaring log fire on a crisp winter’s evening.”

Dundas Castle in Edinburgh is the most spectacular venue for your event. Whether it is a wedding, a corporate event or a family celebration, the variety of buildings, impressive rooms and 17 bedrooms all ‘under one roof’ will provide you with a stay that is truly unique.

Currently the home of Sir Jack and Lady Stewart-Clark, this authentic Scottish Castle has been transformed into a 5-star ‘Exclusive-Use’ venue. As an exclusive-use venue, you can be assured that there will be no other guests or members of the public sharing Dundas with you; you really are King and Queen of your Castle.

The Castle is made up of 3 main buildings. The Auld Keep was built in 1416 as both a home in peace time and a fortress in times of war. In 1818, the main house was built by the renowned architect William Burn and has belonged to the Stewart-Clark family since the late 1800s. The classic Pavilion on the lawns completes this magnificent trio of buildings to offer an elegant space for further entertaining.

Multiple Options

Dundas Castle offers a flexible choice for weddings, with a multitude of options for holding a religious, humanist or civil ceremony.

Couples looking for a traditional Scottish Castle wedding need look no further than the 15th century Auld Keep, while the elegant main house provides a spectacular home from home for a sophisticated yet comfortable feel. Meanwhile, larger weddings of up to 200 can take place in the contemporary Pavilion Marquee or in the beautiful outdoor courtyard.

Dundas Castle is just 15 minutes from Edinburgh airport and 25 minutes west of the city centre. Nestled within 400 acres of secluded idyllic countryside, the Castle offers timeless charm and is the perfect place for a romantic wedding.

Guests should enter by the main gates of the estate leading from the B800 road which runs between South Queensferry and Kirkliston.
The actual Dundas Castle postcode is not recognised on any GPS navigation system but by entering EH30 9SS, you will be directed to the B800 road where you will see the sign for the front entrance to Dundas Castle.
